“Benediktiner” Weissbier – refreshing German wheat beer, created jointly holding Bitburger brewery and the abbey brewery Ettaler. Production of beer for export is carried out on part of the holding brewery Licher under the supervision of monks, in strict accordance with the original recipe of brewery Ettaler and using only original yeast culture from Ettaler. Also, when creating a beer in small quantities, noble hops Hallertau, a relatively low level of bitterness (13/100 on a scale IBU) does not dominate the taste of beer and clogs balanced fruity shades.
Family holding Bitburger Braugruppe, located in Bitburg, owns breweries in five regions of Germany (some of them trace their history to the XV century): Bitburger, Kostritzer Schwarzbierbrauerei, Konig-Brauerei, Licher and Wernesgruner.
